Village Diner – Shermansdale

On Tuesday June 21 we travelled to Shermansdale to re-visit the Village Diner, which is a nice sized place, well run, good service and they feed you pretty darn good. This Tuesday was no exception, we sere seated right away, talked with a few regulars and ordered, all within minutes of our arrival. We like that they have big screen TV and wireless internet. The waitress was nice and our food came out in less than five minutes. As before, the eggs, home fries and toast were really good and the sides of ham and sausage were good sized and tasty. Overall, a good place to eat and I’m sure we’ll be back again.

Caffe 101 – Boiling Springs

On Tuesday June 14, we travelled to Boiling Springs to have breakfast at Caffe 101. As we mentioned in an earlier review, this place is really good. The weather on this day was beautiful so we decided to eat on the patio. There were 3 or 4 couples already outsidke eating, as well as more people inside. Also eating on the patio were 3 appalachian trail hikers, who seemed to enjoying a big breakfast (Backpackers Platter $6.99). As always we ordered our 2 eggs, home fries and meat and the food today was great. Several other friends have told me that after reading our review they tried this place and now stop in weekly. So, Craig and I enjoyed our meal and want to do our traditional review. Try this place, it is great!

Our meal ran about $21 for three people, so about $7 each. We could leave without buying some bake goods too. I got a brownie and it was the best I think I ever had.

The Peppermill – Mechanicsburg

On Tuesday June 7, 2011 we decided to revisit the Peppermill Restaurant located at 1010 Wesley Drive in Mechanicsburg. We ate there last March (one of our first reviews) and since we rated them highly we thought we better check back. Well, I’m happy to say that our original review was correct, the Peppermill is a great place for breakfast. It’s a nice place, the service was really good and the breakfast is consistently good. We had our usual, 2 eggs, home fries, meat and toast and our total for two came out to $9.25. What’s not to be happy about?
